Queirolo Winery Hotel in Peru

The Queirolo winery hotel is the only place in the Ica area that we have our guests stay (while on one of our Peru wine tours). The service is top-notch and the list of facilities now a long one.  Staying at Queirolo gives you a great overview of winemaking in Peru with a tour of the vineyards and a look at the historic equipment from the original winery.

Only a part of the production facility is found here, they also have another, purely industrial winery, in a location nearer Lima. The hotel has been extended in the last two years and now has an impressive range of facilities. Families are housed in the new part of the hotel, leaving couples and singles the tranquility of the original building. Bikes are now available to cycle around the vines.

During your stay at the Queirolo winery you will be taken up into the hills to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and the vistas from a viewpoint above the Ica Valley. In our drone video above you can see the vines on the hills behind the hotel, that is where the viewpoint is found.

After the viewpoint, you will enjoy a tasting of some of the wines produced by this very well-respected winery. The common areas are littered with historic remnants of past winemaking, for example, you can see some of the old clay bottles and the wooden press below, alongside the vines for today’s wine.

Wine & Pisco in the desert of Peru – the vineyard-based Queirolo hotel.

The hotel offers rooms which are very well equipped and styled to keep guests in the mindset of staying at an 18th-century hacienda but at the same time having modern facilities. Two great swimming pools, a gym and spa, indoor and outdoor bars and restaurants with views over the vines,  bicycles to ride around the vineyard and more.

You won’t probably spend much time at the hotel as you will be out exploring Peruvian wine and Pisco, but when you are there you will be very comfortable indeed.
