Argentina Wine Tours – 3 Days from USD 795

What can you do in a few days on our Argentina wine tours? The answer is a great deal! If you do not have a whole week to spare to see the 3 regions, not a problem, pick your preferred region and explore in-depth. This is a huge and beautiful country, from the semi-desert, high-altitude North to wild and windy Patagonia in the South. It has so much to offer the wine enthusiast.

Regional options – or do everything?
  • Salta, Cafayate, and Humahuaca – the highest wineries in the world
  • Road trip from Salta to Mendoza – all the wine regions in between
  • Mendoza – the most famous wine region in Latin America
  • Patagonia – the far South and it’s great creations

The North – Salta | Cafayate | Humahuaca: These are the highest wineries and vineyards in the world, with spectacular scenery and superb Torrontes and Malbec.

The Middle – Mendoza: An absolute Mecca of Malbec and the cradle of quality Argentine wine. Mendoza is the true powerhouse of wine production and innovation.

The Far South – Patagonia: What an interesting wine region, extreme terroir for Pinot Noir and Merlot. (and Dinosaurs!). Pushing the boundaries of where wine can be grown.

The Argentina wine map from Wine Folly below is very good BUT it does miss out on 2 recent developments that can be enjoyed on our Argentina wine tours, there are now wineries even farther to the North (Jujuy) and to the South (Chubut) of those shown. Don´t worry though, we know where they are and how to get you there!

The reputation of wine from Argentina is growing on the world stage and with good reason (Michel Rolland probably has some small influence here!). This huge country is home to the highest vineyards in the world and the most Southerly ones too (although watch out for Chile).

If you can find the aforementioned week of wine time you can run the gamut of Argentine wine. We can take you from the extreme North down through Mendoza and to Patagonia to experience the range of wines and terroir that this fantastic country has to offer. We also offer a road trip from Salta to Mendoza to get to know Tucuman, Catamarca, La Rioja, and San Juan – in this case, make sure you free up your diary for a while.

Forget all the other exciting and interesting things we could add to your time in Argentina wine – let us just focus on the wine for now (but ask us about the other stuff in any case).

From the boutique and extreme altitude wineries of Cafayate and Humahuaca in the north you can experience the contrasts in the 2000 km journey south to northern Patagonia, focused around the city of Neuquen. Mendoza sits roughly in the mid-point of this journey and is usually the mainstay of wine lovers time in Argentina. However, the two extreme ends of the spectrum are very interesting indeed and we highly recommend trying them.

We are here to advise you and organize everything of course – email us to get planning.
